The "Missing Years of Jesus' Life"

Did you know that there are 18 years of Jesus' life missing from the Bible?  This is not a joke!  This is real!  There is literally no mention of where Jesus was, or what he was doing from the age of 12, (when we last see him disputing with the Rabbis in the temple in Jerusalem as explained in the second chapter of Luke); to the age of 30, (when he is baptized by John the Baptist and begins his ministry)!  And yet these 18 missing years are some of the most formative years in anyone's life!  In fact, since Jesus was crucified at the age of 33, these 18 missing years represent not only over half of his entire life, but even more importantly, almost all of his adult life!  Where was he during these 18 crucial years?  What was he doing?  What was he learning?  Who was he learning from?  How did he learn so much, so quickly and so masterfully?  When did he come to the realization that, "I and the Father are One"?  How and when did he learn to do an astonishing variety of miracles?

Believe it or not, it turns out that during these missing 18 years, Jesus was traveling through India, the Himalayas, Persia and other lands, on an amazing journey of spiritual self-discovery; self-enlightenment; self-mastery; and self-realization.  During these journeys he studied with the greatest spiritual masters, healers, yogis, gurus, sages, saints and teachers of the time.  Jesus would:

• Learn their deepest teachings;

• And then through personal practice, self-discipline, meditation, intuition, and direct experience, he would quickly internalize, understand and master these teachings in a far more deeper, insightful and thorough way than his "teachers" did;

• And then he would turn around and become their teacher!

• And then he would move on to do the same thing with other great spiritual teachers, yogis, and gurus - all of whom adored him!

Now it all makes sense as to how Jesus acquired his high level of mastery as well as his ability to perform so many different kinds of miracles!

Where Can We Learn More About Jesus'

Travels to India and the East?

The Aquarian Gospel

The very best source on this topic is a book called: "The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ".  To all who love Jesus or are interested in Jesus' life, I highly recommend it.  It can be read for free online here: "The Aquarian Gospel".

Here's a little overview of

"The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ"

The little known book entitled, "The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ", written by a man named Levi, is an accurate recounting of Jesus' life and teachings.  Who was Levi, and where in the world did this book come from?  Levi was a protestant minister who lived in the USA during the 1800's who prayed for 40 years to be shown the "missing 18 years" of Jesus' life.  Most Christians are unaware of it, but the New Testament contains no information about where Jesus was, or what he was doing, from the age of 12 to the beginning of his ministry at age 30.  The only oblique reference in the New Testament to these missing years, are in the second chapter of Luke where it is describing how 12 year old Jesus is in the Temple in Jerusalem disputing with the rabbis and then it says, "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man." (Luke 2:52).  That's it!!!  The very next verse now has Jesus as a grown man being baptized in the Jordan River.  There is absolutely nothing else in the Bible about where Jesus was during these crucial, formative, missing 18 years.

Well, after praying for about 40 years, Levi had an amazing spiritual experience.  The Goddess of Wisdom assisted him in temporarily leaving his physical body behind on the earth, and took him into the higher realms where she showed him in the Akashic Records - the "Book of GOD's Remembrance", the relevant parts of Jesus life.

In this remarkable book we discover that at 12 years of age Jesus traveled to India and spent the next 16 years or so studying with the various sages and yogis of India, China & Tibet.  Sathya Sai Baba also teaches that Jesus spent this same period of time in India, as well as in the Chinese & Tibetan Himalaya Mountain Ranges.

Nicolas Notovitch's Book:

"The Unknown Life of Jesus Christ"

Also, the book, The Unknown Life of Jesus Christ, by Russian explorer, Nicolas Notovitch, confirms the account given in "The Aquarian Gospel".  Nicolas was exploring in the Himalayas in 1887 when he broke his leg and was taken to the Buddhist Hemis Monastery, in Leh, Ladak, to heal.  While there the lama showed him ancient manuscripts that proved that Jesus, who was referred to as "Saint Issa", ("Isa" is Aramaic for "Jesus") had studied in India prior to his ministry.  Notovitch's book about Jesus' journey to India can be read online for free here: The Unknown Life of Jesus Christ - (The Original Text of Nicolas Notovitch's 1887 Discovery, by Nicolas Notovitch)

Swami Abhedananda's Trek to the

Hemis Monastery in Kasmir

Notovich's account was later corroborated by Swami Abhedananda, a direct disciple of Ramakrishna Paramahansa and close friend Swami Vivekananda.  After he heard of Notovich's book, Swami Abhedananda was determined to prove Notovich's claims as false.  So he walked on foot from Bengal to Kashmir in the Himalaya's to the same Buddhist Hemis Monastery where Notovich had been shown the manuscripts detailing Jesus' life in India between the ages of 12 to 29.  To his surprise he found that Notovich had been entirely accurate and the Lama showed him the same manuscripts and recounted Notovich's visit there.  Consequently Swami Abhedananda's wrote a book confirming Notovich's account about Jesus journey's to India.  The book is entitled, "Swami Abhedananda's Journey into Kashmir & Tibet", and is published by the 'Ramakrishna Vedanta Math', Kolkata, India.
