So What Are Our Sources on Jesus' Life and Teachings?

As mentioned, normally the only valid sources of information on Jesus' life and teachings are considered to come from the New Testament, especially the four "Gospels", and to some extent the "Acts of the Apostles".  But there are credible new sources that are now coming to light.  Sources which shed an amazing amount of depth and insight into his life and nature, including about where he was and what he was learning and doing during those "18 missing years" of his life.  These new sources include the wonderful truths and insights shared by both:

Sathya Sai Baba, the "Avatar of the Age, and:

As Well As Some Remarkably Insightful Books:

"The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ": "The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ", by Levi. ISBN-10: 0875161685;  ISBN-13: 978-0875161686.  This is the all-time best book about the life of Jesus.  The author, a Christian minister in America during the late 1800's, was taken into the Higher Realms and shown the Akashic records of Jesus’ life.  Then, aided by the Goddess of Wisdom, he masterfully summarized it in his book.  It includes the 18 missing years of Jesus' life that describes his travels to India, Tibet, and Nepal.  A “must read” for all who love Jesus, or want to learn more about him.  It can be read online for free: "The Aquarian Gospel".  And if you would like to learn a little bit more about the 18 missing years of Jesus' life and his travels to India, please go here: The Missing Years.

"The Unknown Life of Jesus Christ": Also, the book, "The Unknown Life of Jesus Christ", by the Russian explorer, Nicolas Notovitch, confirms the account given in "The Aquarian Gospel".  Nicolas was exploring in the Himalayas in 1887 when he broke his leg and was taken to the Hemis Buddhist Monastery in Kashmir to heal.  While there the Lama showed him ancient manuscripts that proved that Jesus, who was referred to as "Saint Issa", ("Isa" is Aramaic for "Jesus") had come to India prior to his' ministry in the Holy Land.  Notovitch's book about Jesus' journey to India can be read online for free here: The Unknown Life of Jesus Christ.

Swami Abhedananda:  Also, Nicolas Notovich's account was later corroborated by Swami Abhedananda, a direct disciple of Ramakrishna Paramahansa and close friend Swami Vivekananda.  After he heard of Notovich's book, Swami Abhedananda was determined to prove Notovich's claims as false.  So he walked on foot from Bengal to Kashmir in the Himalaya's to the same Hemis Monastery where Notovich had been shown the manuscripts detailing Jesus' life in India.  To his surprise he found that Notovich had been entirely accurate and the Lama recounted Notovich's visit there and showed Swami Abhedananda the same manuscripts which documented Jesus' studies in India and how he was later crucified in Jerusalem after his ministry.  Consequently Swami Abhedananda's wrote a book confirming Notovich's account and explaining about Jesus journey's to India.  The book is entitled, "Swami Abhedananda's Journey into Kashmir & Tibet", and is published by the 'Ramakrishna Vedanta Math', Kolkata, India.

Jesus in India

By the way, anyone reading the above books will discover that during the missing 18 years of Jesus' life, Jesus was traveling through India, the Himalayas, Persia and other lands, on an amazing journey of spiritual self-discovery; self-enlightenment; self-mastery; and self-realization.  We'll also discover that during these journeys he studied with the greatest spiritual masters, yogis, gurus, sages, saints and teachers of the time.  And we'll find out how Jesus would:

• Learn their deepest teachings;

• And then through personal practice, self-discipline, meditation, intuition, and direct experience, he would quickly internalize, understand and master these teachings in a far more deeper, insightful and thorough way than his "teachers" did;

• And then he would turn around and become their teacher!

• And then he would move on to do the same thing with other great spiritual teachers, yogis, and gurus - all of whom adored him!

Sound fascinating?  You bet it is!  To learn more please go here: The Missing Years.
