Godfre Ray King

Godfre Ray King, met the Ascended Master Saint Germain in August of 1930 on Mount Shasta, in Northern California. Then, under Saint Germain's guidance, Godfre, along with his wife, Lotus, created the Saint Germain Foundation in 1935 and began sharing with audiences throughout the United States his experiences with Saint Germain (as well as with other Ascended Masters) and their teachings. My (Bill Gaum, the author of this website) spiritual teacher, Pearl, became one of Godfre's students. It's largely through Godfre's books that the world first learned about Saint Germain.

The following is a brief overview of Godfre Ray King and his experiences. It is an excerpt from a spiritual biography that I'm writing about my spiritual teacher, Pearl Dorris. I hope you find it helpful and inspiring. - Bill Gaum

In his book, "Unveiled Mysteries", Godfre Ray King simply records his own true experiences on the slopes of Mount Shasta with Saint Germain, the Divine Being that Pearl was soon to learn so much about, and eventually meet. Because Godfre’s books and their teachings were to become the foundation of Pearl’s entire spiritual life, the following is a brief outline of Godfre’s story and the transcendent spiritual truths explained within it. She would later explain to me, (the author), that it was Godfre’s deep love for the Master Jesus, as well as his unusual inner spiritual development, which made it possible for Saint Germain to come to him.

Godfre was hiking on the slopes of Mount Shasta - a majestic, snow-capped mountain located in the northernmost part of California - when he had the following experience, which changed his life forever. It was a hot August day in 1930, and he was fifty-two years old. He had been walking up through the beautiful forest of pines, cedars, and firs, communing with God’s creation, when he happened upon a mountain spring. Bending down to get a cup of water, he was amazed as an extraordinary “electrical current” began pouring down through him. Turning around, he noticed a young man standing next to him whom he at first took to be a fellow hiker. Looking into his eyes, Godfre immediately realized that this was no ordinary person. As this thought passed through his mind, the unexpected stranger smiled and said, “My brother, if you will hand me your cup, I will give you a much more refreshing drink than spring water.”1 Handing it to him, Godfre was astonished to see a creamy liquid instantly fill the cup. It seemed to appear from nowhere.

“Drink it,” the young man requested. Doing so, Godfre was surprised to feel a vivifying, consciousness-raising activity spreading through him. This serene, masterful individual then explained that the sparkling, golden creamy liquid, which he had just materialized within the cup, was “Liquid Light,” a condensation of the “Universal Life Substance.” And that drinking it, expanded God-Consciousness through the individual. He further explained that the “law” which governs the materialization of Liquid Light, or the “precipitation” of anything else that one might require, is something which anyone on Earth can learn once they have gained sufficient control over their feelings and thoughts. Godfre would later learn that this is the very same Divine Law that Jesus used to create the loaves of bread when he fed the five thousand people in the wilderness. Jesus knew that someday we too would comprehend these natural spiritual laws, believe in the transcendent truths he was sharing, and thus be able to perform these same “miracles.” Thus Jesus said, for those who believe in, and apply his teachings to their utmost, “the works that I do, shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do.” (John 14:12, KJV).

“My Son,” Saint Germain continued, [for that is indeed who this extraordinary individual was], “I have known you for eons. In raising your thought by your own conscious effort, it made my coming to you possible at this time. While I have always been in touch with you, when we were both in our finer bodies, your conscious effort of reaching out to some one of the Ascended Masters, [Jesus], opened the way for me to come to you in a much more tangible way, that is, tangible to your physical senses.”2

Godfre was deeply grateful for this divine experience. And every few days he would hike up the mountain, meet Saint Germain, and be further instructed in the “Laws of Life.” Godfre was soon to learn that each one of us has lived many, many lifetimes in different physical bodies throughout the ages. In these various physical embodiments, (as well as numerous lifetimes in various non-physical realms) little by little, we learn the lessons of compassion, forgiveness, courage, selfless-action, and serenity; as well as the other divine qualities that we must ultimately acquire. When Jesus told his disciples that John the Baptist was “Elijah,” he was referring to this natural process of reincarnation. (Matthew 11:14, 17:11-13, NIV) Those that had “ears to hear” understood what Jesus was saying. (Matthew 11:15, KJV) But the most remarkable thing that Godfre learned, was that every single person would eventually become a divine being known as an “Ascended Master” or an “Ascended Lady Master!” This was the ultimate purpose of living so many different lifetimes in order to gradually acquire the various attributes of mastery. Our divine destiny is to become either a masculine Ascended Master like Jesus or Saint Germain, or a feminine Ascended Lady Master such as Beloved Mary (the mother of Jesus) or the Goddess of Wisdom, and so many others! Godfre began to understand that saints such as Bernadette of Lourdes; Prophets like Mohammed; great souls like Quan Yin (also spelled: Kuan Yin) who has since “Ascended” to become the Goddess of Mercy; “Enlightened Ones” such as the Buddha; Saviors like Jesus; and “Avatars” such as Krishna; all came to show us the way to perfection. These “way-showers” teach us, not only through words and deeds, but more importantly by living the type of selfless lives that we too must learn to live in order to achieve our divine destiny.

In the days that followed, Godfre was also shown that the consciousness of our planet and of humanity is being rapidly raised and expanded. This is due to a tremendous outpouring of spiritual light and love focused towards this planet by beneficent Divine Beings – Ascended Masters and Ascended Lady Masters, who are so far above our limited human consciousness that we can hardly conceive of their transcendent majesty, glory, and perfection. And as a result of this unprecedented divine assistance the earth will soon be entering the “Permanent Golden Age” of peace, love, and harmony that has been prophesied by all the great religions of the world.

Throughout the next three months, Godfre would meet with Saint Germain on the slopes of Mount Shasta to learn the secret of how the Ascended Masters and Lady Masters reached their glorious height of God-Dominion. He discovered that every human being has a “Higher Self,” which is “made in the image and likeness of God.” The Ascended Ones call this Higher Self, the “I AM Presence,” and from it flows all the love and light which enables us to think, feel, breathe, and live. Godfre learned that by asking our I AM Presence, to fill us with spiritual qualities we can gradually become more and more saint-like. In fact, our Ascended Sisters and Brothers had simply been kind, pure-hearted human beings, who eventually became immortal by calling upon the I AM Presence to further purify their feelings and thoughts. Thus, they gradually became serenely courageous, kind, and wisely humble at all times, regardless of whatever challenges might be facing them. Then, by applying these laws of the “I AM Consciousness,” they completely ceased to live for themselves. Instead, they began to experience the joy of living only to be of selfless service to their fellow human beings as well as to “Life” everywhere. Likewise, they learned to live lives of perfect purity and to be completely above all feelings of greed, condemnation, jealousy, resentment, and anger, as well as every other limiting, self-destructive emotion, thought, desire, or activity.

As a result of attaining this lofty, pure level of I AM Consciousness, and selflessly serving all life, they earned the right to Ascend into the “Ascended Octave of Light.” In this realm of exquisite perfection they are forever free from pain, worry, suffering, or imperfection of any kind. They are now pure Divine Beings like Jesus, the Goddess of Purity, the Goddess of Peace, El Serapis Bey, Saint Germain, and so many others. And they are living in bodies of pure “Christ Light” in realms of such transcendent beauty, bliss, and perfection that human beings in their greatest imaginings can barely touch upon their glories. From these Great Ascended Realms they continue to help the world by pouring down to us streams of light and love, which protect, illumine, and uplift us from our own self-created misery. They also walk among us unseen: blessing, inspiring, guiding, and protecting us in untold ways. And when it is necessary to render specific services that can not be done in any other way, the Ascended Ones appear in bodies so tangible that the people who happen to see, or interact with them, think that they are just ordinary human beings. In so many ways, visible and invisible, they are helping us to help each other.
