Angelic Reassurance

Here is an Angel experience I had when my father had a life changing accident:

When I was 5 years old we lived in the lovely city of Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, surrounded by beautiful mountains, valleys, lakes and rivers.

My mother, two of my brothers, and myself were at home. My father was at work. I was busy playing in the living room when the telephone suddenly rang. I got up and walked into the kitchen to answer it, but my mother picked it up…she was already in the kitchen. I stood watching her as she was listening. I knew something was wrong. I could see it on her face and read it in her body language.

After a few minutes she hung up. I asked my mother what was wrong. She looked down at me and told me that my father had an accident at work and had been taken to the hospital. She told me not to worry and that she was going to go to the hospital to see him. She also said that the neighbor lady would take care of us until she got back. My older brother drove Mom to the hospital. We went over to the neighbor’s house.

I was very restless worrying about my father. The lady told me not to worry, that everything will work out, and went off to the kitchen to get us some cookies and milk to try to comfort us.

When she left, I had a visit from an Angel. She was so beautiful, it made my heart skip a beat in awe. She was so gorgeous! She had a golden aura surrounding her and her golden wings shone like the sun! She approached me, took my hands into hers and softly she said: "My dear sweet, sweet child, do not be worried and upset. Your father will be alright. He will need a lot of time to heal, but he will get better. You will need to be patient and strong for him. He will need your love, kindness, and support." The Angel then bent down and kissed me on the cheek and said good-bye, waving as she faded away into thin air, vanishing out of sight. She smiled at me as she vanished. I waved at her and smiled back.

Mom came home and said the doctors were fixing Dad as best they could, but he needed to stay in the hospital for a week or two, and then when he comes home we would have to take care of him. I smiled at Mom and told her that I knew and that Dad would be okay. She looked down at me and smiled. When we were alone together I told her about the Angel. She smiled and nodded. Mom did not tell me that the doctors had told her that they thought Dad would never walk again. She told me this later on when I was much older.

Dad came home from the hospital in a wheel chair. He had broken his back and could not walk. The doctors had told him he needed to stay in bed so he wouldn't damage his back even worse. He stayed for a while, except getting up to use the "facilities". Every day I would help him. I would take his food to him and whatever else he needed. He was so concerned about our family. Each day he got stronger and he was determined to get better, which he did. Eventually he got up more, and came to the kitchen table to eat with us. He sat in his wheel chair, then he graduated to using crutches, and then a cane. Slowly he quit using the cane and was walking on his own. But the happiest day was when he could reach up and pick an apple off our tree. When he first came home from the hospital, he could not raise his arms above his waist. He slowly worked at reaching higher and higher. Then one day…poof… he picked the apple! He was so excited! I smiled and told him I knew he could do it! He looked down at me, smiled and gave me a big hug.

I'm so glad the Angel came to me to assure me that my Dad would be well again.
